Megantic – How This Website Got Its Name – It was named ‘Megantic’ after the SS Megantic which was on the Liverpool to Montreal Atlantic Route and later New York Run. The ship was attacked by German U-boat U-43 during World War 1 but survived. The Grandfather of the owner of this website served on board. He also died on board & was buried at sea.
